Wear whatever you want! Unless the event specifically says that it is "formal", just wear whatever you usually wear. If the event says that it is "formal", a suit is typically worn.

A bid is simply an invitation to join the fraternity that gave you the bid. If you accept the bid, you officially become a pledge of the House. You accept a bid orally by simply telling them that you are accept your bid.

You're not in quite yet! You have to go through what is known as being a Pledge to the House. As a Pledge, you will spend one quarter learning about the House and getting to know the Brothers. At the end of your Pledge quarter, you will be initiated into the House, with the full privileges of a Brother.
