The UCLA Armenian Graduate Students Association is proud to present its Second Annual Yacht Gala, on Saturday, June 4th, 2005.  Tickets are on sale for $40 and only available by presale only.

Armenian Film Night

Viewing of an Armenian film on campus through the Melnitz Movie venue. Melnitz Movies, hosts semi-weekly showings of a range of films from pre-releases of blockbusters to retrospectives of art-house classics. Sometimes, the directors, screenwriters, or lead actors have been present to answer questions following the viewings. In general, ~200 people attend these viewings which are free and open to the public during weeknights.

This event is hosted by the All-ASA Genocide Recognition Committee.  All-ASA is a body of ASA's from across the state. There are various committee's in the All-ASA and each is chaired  by a different school. This year, UCLA proudly chairs the Genocide Recognition Committee.

Kristina Hovhannesyan a doctoral student in Genetics at Yerevan State University of Armenia is here to present her work on:

"Human X-Chromosomal Lineages Illustrate The Genetic Structure Of The Armenian Population".

UCLA AGSA Law Alumni Panel

	On Thursday, March 31st, the UCLA AGSA will host over a dozen UCLA alumni for a panel discussion on careers in law.  It will be hosted in the renown UCLA Charles E. Young Grand Salon at 6:30pm.  The event is geared towards current law students and those who will be matriculating this coming academic year.  Law students from the Los Angeles area are invited to join the UCLA AGSA for this event.  Panelists featured come from a variety of backgrounds from large firm to small firm, private practice to government positions.  The event is free and open to the public.

Graduate Student Colloquium in Armenian Studies

The UCLA Graduate Student Colloquium in Armenian Studies is the first event of its kind - a colloquium organized by graduate students, for graduate students to present works in progress across the interdisciplinary field of Armenian Studies. The colloquium was first hosted on February 21, 2003.

All-ASA College Fair Committee

The AGSA participated in the AA-CFC, which is a committee of many Armenian Student Associations and other Armenian Student organizations that come together and plan events to help Armenian high school students go to college.  The event took place at LMU on March 20, 2005.

2nd Annual USC-UCLA Joint Networking Night 

Graduate students and professionals enjoyed the beautiful night at the Pasadena Museum of California Art on the eve of November 6, 2004. Guests enjoyed the museum's galleries while sipping wine, eating hors d'oeuvres, and taking in the panoramic views from the museums rooftop veranda.
