ALD National Scholarships


Jo Anne J. Trow Undergraduate Scholarship

The National Chapter of Alpha Lambda Delta offers 35 scholarship awards ranging from $1,000 to $6,000 each. The award must be used for the following school year and students must be full-time students. For more information, visit THIS WEBSITE.

Requirements:

  • At least a 3.5 cumulative GPA
  • Initiated into Alpha Lambda Delta between January 1st and December 31st 2014

After you complete your application, the UCLA ALD-PES Scholarship Committee will then review the applications and nominate three people as the UCLA chapter nominees for this year. These applications will be forwarded to the National Alpha Lambda Delta Office, which then reviews all nominees in all the chapters of Alpha Lambda Delta and the recipients are informed by Spring of 2015.



James G. Stemler Study Abroad Scholarship

The National Chapter of Alpha Lambda Delta offers 20 scholarships that are worth $1,000 each. These scholarships are intended to help reduce the cost of study abroad programs and must be used within a year of receiving the award. For more information, visit THIS WEBSITE

Requirements:

  • At least a 3.5 cumulative GPA
  • Initiated into Alpha Lambda Delta before January 1, 2015
  • The study abroad program must be taken through a US-based institution
  • The study abroad program must take place in the 2015-2016 academic year
  • You were inducted before June 2014
  • You will not graduate before June 2015

PES National Scholarships

Phi Eta Sigma Undergraduate Scholarships and Awards

The National Chapter of Phi Eta Sigma offers undergraduate awards of $1,000 each and 37 undergraduate scholarships of $6,000 each. Applying for this scholarship also makes one eligible for various other scholarships, including the $10,000 Thomas Arkle Clark Scholar-Leader of the Year Scholarship.   • Member of Phi Eta Sigma
  • Minimum of 3.5 cumulative GPA

Materials Required for Submission:

  2. Three (3) copies of the application and all supporting material
  3. Three (3) official current transcripts (or one official current transcript and two unofficial copies)
  4. (Optional) Up to three (3) letters of recommendation (if you plan to submit a letter of recommendation, three (3) copies of each letter are required)
  5. If selected as a recipient, you will be required to submit a letter of acceptance (including your social security number) and a professional quality individual headshot photo to the Phi Eta Sigma National Office

Phi Eta Sigma Graduate Scholarships

The National Chapter of Phi Eta Sigma also awards four Distinguished Member Scholarships worth $7,500 each for members planning to attend graduate school.   • Minimum of 3.5 cumulative GPA

Local Scholarships

The Local Chapter of Alpha Lamba Delta and Phi Eta Sigma at UCLA awards approximately $6,500.00 total in scholarships. This scholarship is one of the many opportunities for members to take advantage of what ALD & PES has to offer.

  • You were inducted before June 2014
  • You will not graduate before June 2015

Applicants will be judged on their academic accomplishments, their personal responses to questions on the application, and particularly on their participation in ALD & PES chapter activities. Winners will be announced at the Induction Ceremony on March 30, 2015.
