Alpha Lambda Delta & Phi Eta Sigma
UCLA Chapters of National Honor Societies
College is a new and exciting chapter of life, but it could also bring the challenges of adjusting to a new environment. This program pairs up an incoming first year student with a current student during the Fall quarter so that s/he can learn the way around academics and life at UCLA. It culminates in a social event so that first years, current members, and officers can make new connections.

Getting started is easy! Fill out a very short application so that we can make the perfect match based on interests and academic profile. Submit it to PeerConnectMentorship@gmail.com by 5pm Friday, September 4, 2009.

Incoming Students:
We hope you are enjoying the summer before the start of college. You must be eagerly anticipating the start of something new as you get ready to experience life and academics at UCLA. College is chance to broaden your horizons and learn about adjusting to life away from home. That is why we are inviting you to apply for the Peer Connect Program established through ALD & PES Honor Societies at UCLA.
How can the Peer Connect Program benefit you? This mentorship program matches carefully selected incoming first year students with hand-chosen current ALD & PES Honor Societies' members to share their college experiences and give guidance on how to best adjust to life on the large UCLA campus. Whether you are pre-med, pre-law, pre-business, or even if you are undecided about your future and just want to explore your interests, our diverse ALD & PES members have gained a wealth of knowledge from their UCLA experience to share with you. You will gain first-hand advice on what activities to take a look at, where to go have fun on the weekends, how to excel in your classes, and much more. There will also be a social event during Fall Quarter where you can meet your mentor in person as well as other Peer Connect participants.
