Keep in mind that recruitment for APA Health CARE has become competitive. It is estimated that less than half of the members who apply will receive an interview and even less will be accepted. With that being said, please provide thoughtful and honest answers on the application. Good luck!
As requested by those who attended the informational sessions, here are the questions that we ask. Please prepare them in a word processing application and copy and paste them to the google application.
- Please list any relevant experiences and/or courses that will help you as a client navigator for the Asian and Pacific Islander communities we serve. Please include the month and year of the experience and/or courses in parenthesis.
- Please list all other organizations and/or jobs you are currently involved in and include an estimate of hours spent per week on each. Please also indicate your job title(s) and your leadership position in the organization(s) if any. For example: APA Health CARE - Secretary (8 hours).
- How will this program fit into your academic/work/extra-curricular activity load for the upcoming 2011-2012 academic year?
- What experience, if any, do you have with computer databases and/or programming?
- What do you expect to gain from your participation in Undergraduate APA Health CARE? What do you think you can contribute to the student-run program and to the lives of those clients served?
Second- INTERVIEW
- Selected applicants will be able to choose a time slot for an interview.
- Tuesday, October 11th: 6PM - 10PM (Rieber Hall Study Room 149)
- Wednesday, October 12th: 6PM - 10PM (Rieber Hall Study Room 149)
- Thursday, October 13th: 6PM - 10PM (Rieber Hall Study Room 149)
Third- TRAINING
- Accepted members will be notified on Sunday, October 16th.
- Mandatory Training Session: Sunday, October 23rd (Location TBA)
- Dorm Dinner with Medical Students: Thursday, October 27th (De Neve Dining Hall)
Finally- VOLUNTEER
- Start volunteering at health events!

Tentative General Meeting Dates for Fall Quarter

Membership Requirements Per Quarter, each member must
- Attend 2 APA Health CARE health events.
- Attend 1 fundraising event
- Attend all general meetings, with the exception of one absence allowed with adequate reasoning provided to your committee leader
- Participate actively in a committee
