Universal Precautions
- Wash hands after procedures
- Use barier protections to prevent blood, urine, and bodily fluids from contaminating YOUR skin or mucus membranes
- DO NOT recap a needle!
- Always dispose of a needle in a sharps container immediately after use
- Always dispose of all objects that have contacted bodily fluids directly into a biohazard container
- Wear close toed shoes
