Animal Legislation Project

This is the Web site of the UCLA School of Law Animal Legislation project. The function of our project is to analyze bills currently under consideration in the California legislature that relate to animals. Our analysis is intended to be objective and its purpose is to provide information needed for reasoned discussion and debate about the merits of these bills.

This project is run by students at the UCLA School of Law, with the help of Professor Taimie Bryant. We welcome feedback and comments about our analysis and are interested in adding your points of analysis to these writeups. Please e-mail us at awa@ucla.edu if you would like to contribute to this process.

The following links bring you to indices for the bills we have analyzed or are planning to analyze. From the pages for each bill, we also provide a link to the Official California Legislature Web site page for that bill so that you may have easy access to the official text, status, and history of each bill.
