CLUB MEETING TIME!

Because of scheduling considerations, the standard “Monday 4pm” club meeting time has been changed. To accommodate people’s agendas the club meeting times for winter quarter will be on Wednesday evening, as follows:

RUHI!

Jinab-i-Sana Rezai will be facilitating a Ruhi Book 4 Study Circle, at his sumptuous abode in Dykstra Residence Hall, every Thursday evening (starting Thursday of week 1), at 7pm. Be sure to sign up soon, because places are going like hot potatoes! If you don’t already have a copy of Book 4, Sana will have brand new copies available at $5 a piece. SANDWICH BOARD!

Preparation of the Baha’i sandwich board is complete and it looks beautiful! A big “thank you” to everyone who helped out, and especially Leila and Jen! The board has contact info, announcements, upcoming events, and reflection of the week on it, so check it out! Look for this dazzling sight around campus starting Monday of 1st week!

DEVOTIONAL MEETING AND FIRESIDE NIGHT!!

This quarter we have a whole bunch of great speakers and discussion topics lined up! We kick-off the quarter with an amazing best-friend tag team duo, “Sana and Farid”, who will be discussing “the Baha’i Perspective on Emotions and the Psyche!” Friday of week 1, January 15th at Roya, Samar, Naz, and Negar’s place! So, bring your friends on over to 10980 Wellworth Ave (south of Wilshire) Apartment #104 (buzz under the name Rahmanian #015 to get in). Come 7pm for devotionals and 8pm for fireside (and refreshments!).

The Baha’i booth on Bruin Walk is back with a vengeance this quarter! with new and improved booth materials. Come on out to support the Baha’i presence on campus; sign up at the club meetings or e-mail your volunteer time to bahai@ucla.edu

OPEN MIC NIGHT!!!

Before you know it, last years biggest annual event will be upon us again! On the the 20th of January (yes, this month!), in the Massive De Neve Auditorium, from 8-10pm there will be tons of beautiful musical, poetic, and dramatic performances by people from all over LA, solely for your viewing pleasure! SALSA NIGHT!!

The big hit from last quarter is back again in winter for an even bigger Salsa Bash! Come to Charles E Young Grand Salon, room 248, in Kirkhoff hall, February 10th, at 7pm for salsa lessons with the salsa masters Robyn and Che, and come 8-10pm for good-old open-floor salsa fun! You’re gonna want to keep this date open, cuz its gonna be bumpin’ off da Hook!

BREAK THE FAST DINNER!

Free Dinner for all who want to come and break the fast with the Baha’is! Come to the Ackerman Viewpoint Lounge at 5:30pm on March 5th for food, fun, and just plain hanging out.
