Who are we?

We are a club of dance enthusiasts that enjoy dancing just for the fun of it. At each of our meetings, we practice and learn new moves for one of the more "classic" ballroom dances (salsa, swing, tango, foxtrot, etc.). In addition, we encourage exploration of other dances and styles, including folk dances from around the world. We regularly have guest teachers teaching basic elements of Jewish, Armenian, Chinese, American, folk dances, belly dancing and much more.

We strive to be a community of dancers that learn from and teach each other. We also want to share our excitement with the rest of campus, and frequently organize campus-wide dance events (such as our Swing and Salsa parties).

In addition, we want to integrate our passion for dance into the greater Los Angeles community and frequently attend outside and off-campus events, such as vintage dances in Powell Library or the Viennese Ball at Occidental College

When are our regular club meetings?

Our regular club meetings are Monday night, from 7pm or 8pm (pending room availability) until 11pm. We generally meet in Ackerman Union 2nd Floor Lounge, but please check the calendar for the exact time and location of our next club meeting.

When can I join?

Newcomers are welcome to our club at any point during the quarter, at any time during an club meeting, field trip or event. If you can, please consider helping our club by becoming a supporting member. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.
