“I abhor vivisection. It should at least be curbed. Better, it should be abolished. I know of no achievement through vivisection, no scientific discovery, that could not have been obtained without such barbarism and cruelty. The whole thing is evil.” Charles Mayo, Mayo Clinic Founder |

About the campaign: |

Much of the research done at UCLA is conducted on animals. BFA does not agree with testing on animals and is currently working in cooperation with UCLA to curb animal testing and replace it with viable and efficient alternatives. BFA is also trying to bring students and faculty into the discussion of animal testing so that they can be informed of what is happening at their university, and what other viable alternatives can be implemented.
The BFA Anti-Vivisection Campaign Coordinator for the 2007-2008 school year is Emmanuel Masongsong, a vegan researcher at UCLA. If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions about this campaign, please email Emmanuel at swansong@ucla.edu, or call him at (310) 691-9978. |
