Helping Hands concert and multicultural performances

Thank you everyone in the community for helping the Burmese Student Association raise $20,000 to fund relief efforts in Burma. $12,000 has been donated to Sitagu Sayadaw for ongoing relief efforts in cyclone-ravaged parts of Burma.

Who are we?

The Burmese Student Association at UCLA is a registered on-campus organization representing the Burmese students and alumni of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Cyclone Nargis relief efforts

On May 2, 2008, Cyclone Nargis, the second deadliest cyclone in history, hit southern Burma (Myanmar), killing upwards of 200,000 and severely affecting another 2.5 million people. BSA is currently sponsoring a fundraising campaign that will be donated to programs to help with relief efforts. We have currently raised $3048.62.
