Based Organizations.......................
In
the spirit of “think global, act local” conciencia
libre has collaborated with organizations both on and off campus
recognizing that the struggle at home is tied to the overall struggle
for social justice worldwide. With the legacy of student activism
on the UCLA campus, conciencia libre has commited itself to build
realtionships of mutual growth and repect with other stident organizations.
We have cosponsored events with the goal of educating the UCLA
body, as well as ourselves, on the many diverse international
and local struggles for social justice. Such groups we have worked
with include: Raza Womyn, Movimiento Estudiantil Chicana/o de
Aztlán (MEChA), the Latin American Student Association
(LASA), La Familia, the Environmental Coalition, the Muslim Student
Association (MSA), and the United Students Against Sweatshops
(USAS), among others we plan to work with.
