UCLA Club Tennis' second Pizza party will be held on Friday, 7:30 PM, at De Neve's 3rd-floor Dogwood Lounge. As Club President Emily Watt puts it, "We'll try to keep the door propped open so that you can get in, otherwise we'll buzz you in. If you've paid Club dues and want a reason/place to hang out with your buddies, come out and enjoy some pizza and wings!"

04/22/08 Nationals Sucess

The UCLA CT won its first three successive matches at Nationals in Cary, North Carolina, this week, boasting a series of shut-out sets and dominating matches. Early Friday morning (5 AM Pacific time), however, the bruins succumbed to the ferocious onslaught of 4-time National Champions Texas A&M. As a result of the loss, the Bruins faltered in the consolation round, conceding victory to the University of Illinois before rebounding to overtake Clemson University and defeating UC Davis on Saturday to take the backdraw. UCLA finished in the top 16 of over 64 schools. View photos of the event here, from Emily Watt.

The West was nonetheless well represented, as the semi-finals witnessed two California giants (UC Berkeley and Stanford) taking on two Texan schools (University of Texas and Texas A&M). Nationals concluded as follows:

If you see any of the following warriors around on campus, be sure to give them a BIG bruin hug!
