About 50 UCLA tennis fans packed USC's Marks Tennis Stadium on Friday to cheer on the
Bruins, many of whom rode a charter bus arranged for by Club Team Coach Grant Chen and #1
fan Juben Rabbani. Most settled behind Courts 1 and 3 (Kohlloeffel and Surapol,
respectively).

On one side, a large contingent of USC alumni and fans cheered on
Cvetkovic's upset of Kohlloeffel; on the other, a group of drunken USC fraternity
brothers hurled racial insults at both Surapol and Kohlloeffel, earning several warnings
from the chair umpires on both courts. Bruin fans responded with much noise of their
own, including an eight-clap aimed to inspire Surapol during his furious attempt at a
third-set comeback.

Despite the loss, the UCLA fans made their presence known, in enemy territory. The seats
at the south end of the stadium were completely filled to capacity, with both Bruin and
Trojan fans sitting in the aisles and standing at the back.

"Four twenty," said Coach
Chen after the match, referring to the Bruins' scheduled rematch with USC on April 20,
this time on UCLA's home turf, LATC. A huge crowd is expected for the rematch, and
everyone is encouraged to attend. "WE WANT A DAVIS CUP CROWD AT THE LATC," says Rabbani.

"At least we beat them in Club Tennis," added Chen.
