What's the difference between Club Tennis, Intramural Tennis and Instructional Tennis?

They are all administered by UCLA Recreation but to be clear, this is Club Tennis. It's a little different from Intramural and Instructional Tennis.
Club Tennis is one of the UCLA Club Sports program and we play/practice throughout the whole school year. We have practice twice a week and have a few tournaments each quarter. On top of all the tennis, you get to meet many other tennis players on the court and at our socials!
Intramural Tennis is a tournament that goes on for one quarter and you play a match or two per week.
Instructional Tennis is held at Sunset Rec. and you have a coach teaching tennis to you and a couple people.

So, what exactly do you guys do at Club Tennis?

I think it's pretty evident that we play tennis at Club Tennis...

..All right, I know you guys play tennis, but what exactly do you do?

Ah, well, in that case, Club Tennis has two parts: the general club, and the competitive team. Practice at the general club format consists of a light warm-up, then tennis games. We try to keep the mood light with some music, but our members also love the competitive air once in a while. We reserve a couple courts for match plays during our practices too. In addition to these two weekly practices, we also have tournaments within the club.

Wait, did you say "competitive team?"

Yep. That's the other face of UCLA Club Tennis. Our competitive team hosts a tournament in the fall once a year to scout out potential members, but the coaches will notice an exceptional player at general club as well. The comp. team goes to intraschool tournaments, and as you probably have seen on the front page, they do generally bring home the glory :).

Hmm, I don't play like Federer.. Can I still join?

Come on now, we don't play like Federer (although there was a player by the name of F. Ederer..!) and we're not ones to judge. We welcome players of all levels, and many of our officers are either current or former tennis instructors.

When and where are the practices?

Practices for Winter Quarter is Tuesday and Thursday from 8pm - 10pm at Los Angeles Tennis Center (LATC).
We have all 8 courts reserved but we will all meet at Court 5 in the beginning of practice!

Okay, so you've got me hooked; how do I join?
