About Us, UCLA Club Tennis!
UCLA Club Tennis is a student-run organization aimed towards promoting the growth, learning, and enjoyment of tennis. Whether you are a spectator or dedicated player, we welcome all who share a passion for the sport.
For the recreational player we offer regular social events and a fun-loving community of tennis enthusiasts. For the more competitive player we offer two main forms of engagement. Local United States Tennis Association (USTA) Tennis on Campus tournaments are open to all members and take place on several collegiate campuses across the Southern California neighborhood. UCLA Club Tennis also participates in the annual Southern California Regional Championships; a select group of individuals is chosen from the Club to form this Team. As a club, however, we emphasize the spirit of connecting people at UCLA who share our love for the great sport of tennis.
A beginner at tennis. A casual player looking to meet others at your level. A former high school player looking to stay in the game. A member of the UCLA Intramural Tennis League. A member of a UCLA Recreation tennis class. We welcome all of you! All UCLA students, faculty, staff, and anyone with a UCLA Recreation membership is eligible for the club. There is no other requirement. Whether you've been playing all your life, just beginning, or love to watch, if you're passionate about tennis we embrace you!

The cost of membership for the remainder of the 2006-2007 academic year will be $5. Click "Register" for detailed instructions on how to sign up. Club Tennis t-shirts ($10) and long-sleeves ($15) can be purchased separately. See what they look like here.
In addition to being a part of a community filled with tennis fanatics, you'll have free or discounted access to Club Tennis events. Scheduled regularly are social events (both tennis-related and non-tennis- related), practice sessions, and monthly USTA Tennis on Campus tournaments (for more info, see the Calendar). We also hope to soon establish partnerships with local tennis businesses to offer our members discounted prices on gear and stringing.
These are local friendly tournaments in which neighboring colleges/ universities compete. One or more tournaments are held every month by schools ranging in location from Santa Barbara to San Diego. They are open to all Club Tennis members, regardless of skill level. When we are notified of an event, we pass the word onto you (and post it on the calendar) and ask for volunteer players. The number of players we can take depends on facility space at the hosting school. To learn more about the USTA Tennis on Campus program, contact one of our officers or visit their website.
This is a group of Club Tennis members hand-selected by the Club Tennis Coach to compete in the USTA Southern California Regional Campus Championships and USTA National Campus Championships. Players are chosen based on their performance in the UCLA Fall Intramural Tennis League, proficiency, teamwork, a passion for the game, and fulfillment of the eligibility requirements. While Club Tennis Team practices and competitions are closed to non-team members, any club member is welcome to try out for a spot on the team. For more information,contact the Team Coach.
