About Us

    Throughout the past six years, the UCLA Dragon Boat Team has brought the college competition to a new level with its blend of highly competitive and energetic paddlers! Founded on June 17, 2004, UCLA Dragon Boat takes members from all types of dragon boating backgrounds, meaning no prior experience is necessary! The only common denominator between our paddlers is dedication and a strong passion for winning. Although the team is for those who are currently attending UCLA, our extensive group of loyal alumni often enjoys cheering on the team at various dragon boat races.

    Practices on and off the water help our members develop and perfect their paddling techniques, work mentalities, and more importantly, their dedication to the sport and each other. Various socials and team bonding events are also held to further strengthen the relationships of our members and create team unity.

    UCLA Dragon Boat strives to uphold the values of a true Bruin: competitiveness, passion, and the willingness to let loose and have some fun!
