Minutes:  Thursday, January 29     6:00  -  8:00

1)  Discussed model suggestions from Tony (the hobby shop airplane specialist)

     A)  Bottom Wing
     B)  Streamlined Body
     C)  Tank attached to bottom rather than in fuselage
     D)  Tank should have airfoil cross section
     E)  Brakes
     F)  Large, constant chord length ( ~ 20")


2)  Drainage simulation:

      Attained full drainage in 19 seconds @ 45 MPH.  However, due to volume innaccuracy, estimate of
      22 seconds for full four liters.  Tests will be redone with bigger intake scoop.


3)  Discussed 3v3 tournament setup

     A)  44 teams @ $40 dollars a team
     B)  approximately $400 dollars in prizes, as well as Westwood village sponsorships/donations
     C)  March 7 @ Sunset courts, 2:00 - 8:00
     D)  Everyone should attend to help/keep score.  Also, highly suggested to find a friend to help
     E)  Split up Westwood retailers into lists of 4-5 for each person to contact
     F)  Signed up for BruinWalk flyering, now through the seventh of March


4)  Discussed materials for research:

     A)  Foam
     B)  Balsa Wood
     C)  Ply Wood
     D)  Composites
     E)  Aluminum
     F)  Sheeting/skin

    Split up assignments for research purposes.
