Third General Meeting

Hi GMTians!

Hope everyone is surviving midterms and studying hard! It's week 4 and even though it's cramming time, it has been so great to still see tons of people attending the meetings and participating in the mock clinics. So, please make it out to our meeting this week on Monday as we will be going over the heart and lungs!

And congratulations to those who have been chosen to go on the Nicaragua trip!!! Get ready for an unforgettable experience! :)

Important reminders:

Trip applicants, please respond to the GMT email confirming whether you are still planning on attending a trip by Monday, Jan. 30th. Trip payment and additional application is due on Feb. 4th through the official international GMT website (See under links tab). For trippers who were selected and are planning on going to Nicaragua, please remember to fulfill your membership requirements of 1 volunteer event, 1 fundraising event and attend 5/10 meetings before the trip.

Upcoming events:

During Week 5, we will be having UCLA medical students come and teach all of you the basics of examining patients including how to read a patient's blood pressure, listen to heart/lung sounds, and etc. So make sure you make it out to bombard the medical students with all your questions! Our next volunteer event 'Reading to Kids' will take place on Saturday, Feb. 11th. Sign up asap as spots fill up quickly!

That's all for now! Have a great weekend everyone and see you all at the next meeting.
