    Epsilon Alpha Sigma Sorority

The Empowered Arab Sisterhood was founded on April 24, 2012 at the University of California, Los Angeles. Striving to bring an Arab presence to Greek life, the organization worked towards becoming the first Arab sorority in the nation. On May 7, 2013, the Empowered Arab Sisterhood was officially inducted into the Greek council and granted its letters to become officially recognized as Epsilon Alpha Sigma, the first Arab sorority in the nation. With its strict philanthropic focus, the women of EAS have made an impact both on a local and global scale. As a strictly cultural organization, EAS expresses no religious or political affiliation but rather focuses on the humanitarian aspect of the conflicts plaguing our Arab countries today. Through this focus, we aim to expose our peers to the diversity that exists within the Arab world and the impact Empowered Arab Women make both within our immediate communities and all around the world.

    Gamma Rho Lambda Sorority

Gamma Rho Lambda is an all inclusive women’s sorority focused on developing unity through the lifelong bonds of sisterhood. The sorority supports and provides a safe space for people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and diverse backgrounds. It emphasizes emotional support, personal development, unconditional acceptance. Founded in Spring of 2009, Gamma Rho Lambda has expanded into the first LGBT sorority on campus. In Spring 2010 GRL officially affiliated with UCLA's Multi-Interest Greek Council and became Zeta Chapter. Some examples of Gamma Rho Lambda's events are: game night, home-cooked dinners, Women's Day, socials, sister dates, as well as an end of the year banquet. We've volunteered at AIDS Walk and Vote for Equality and marched at LA pride and Long Beach Pride. We've fundraised by selling bracelets, rainbow cupcakes, and other baked goods. Gamma Rho Lambda is much smaller than most typical sororities, but we pride ourselves in this fact. Our intimate size allows us to get to know every member and grow together as a community. Our biggest priority is to create a second home for our members, so that every member feels they have a family at UCLA. We provide an opportunity for growth and diversity. In addition, Gamma Rho Lambda aims to provide a safe, accepting, and supportive space for queer members who may not be out to their families. On a national level, Gamma Rho Lambda currently has 14 chapters across the country and 1 colony. Our chapters are at Arizona State University, San Diego State University, CSU Northridge, UCLA, Purdue, SUNY- Albany, Northern Arizona University, University of Houston, UC Berkley, and UC Riverside, Ball State,Tulane, Iowa State, and American University. We also have a colony at University of Iowa. Each year we have a summer convention where representatives from all the chapters and colonies come and meet their fellow siblings. This weekend is not only a bonding experience, but an experience to share what every chapter has accomplished while spreading both ideas and concerns to each other and our National Council. Please feel free to email us at zeta@gammarholambda.org if you have any questions or visit our website at grlzeta.wordpress.com to see what upcoming Rush or Sorority events we have planned!

    Tau Theta Pi Sorority

Tau Theta Pi is an academic, social, and philanthropic sorority that does not tie itself to one cause or purpose because we believe that being a well-rounded individual is essential to being a woman of character and strength. We pride ourselves on being called the anti-sorority sorority," because, prior to knowing about Tau Theta Pi, the vast majority of us did not want to join a sorority. However, the genuine sisterhood does not follow the mold of stereotypical sororities, and thus, the appeal stems from the idea that there is no single “type” of girl that represents a sister of Tau Theta Pi. We are a multi-cultural sorority. Tau Theta Pi harbors arguably the most diverse group of women in any sorority. Although many sisters come from Chinese, Hispanic, Indian, Caucasian, Filipino, African American, Vietnamese, Korean, and French decent, the diversity stems beyond our ethnic backgrounds. Majors range from Business to Architecture to Journalism to Engineering, and activities from Program Board to UNICEF. The fusion of our individual interests and personalities creates a synergy that enhances the strength of our sisterhood and the development of each individual sister. For this reason, we can truly say: "My Letters Are My Sisters." MISSION STATEMENT: It is the ardent desire of the honorable women of Tau Theta Pi to form and maintain a genuine sisterhood that exemplifies more excellence, strength, and open-mindedness. As an organization rooted in strength through diversity, it is our goal to unify women of various cultural and ethnic backgrounds. We hope to accomplish this goal by means of promoting academic achievement, active involvement in the community, and the forging of the tightly knit bond between sisters. It is also our hope to foster personal growth by making lasting impressions in our community, at school, within our organization, and within ourselves, ultimately enriching the college experience.

    Zeta Phi Beta Sorority

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated is an international, historically black Greek-lettered sorority founded on January 16, 1920 by five collegiate women at Howard University.
