Welcome to the UCLA Graduate Christian Fellowship!
The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and great in mercy.
The Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works.
Psalm 145:8-9 (NKJV)
Who We Are
Graduate Christian Fellowship at UCLA is a fellowship of Christian graduate students who seek to integrate their academic callings with their Christian faith and to "spur one another on toward love and good deeds" (Hebrews 10:24, NIV). We are affiliated with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship (IVCF), an interdenominational ministry active on campuses worldwide.
Our vision has two elements:
- We seek to provide discipleship and mentorship for graduate students in integrating their faith, learning, and life, in order to impact humanity and the Kingdom of God.
- We seek to provide encouragement and support for one another in our graduate programs.
Because we are graduate students, one of the group's distinctives is that we are an adventuresome lot. We try to ask hard questions, questions that may not have easy solutions. But our hope is that such reflection will drive us to a richer relationship with God.
Activities
Every Thursday, all of GCF comes together for a large group meeting, which includes worship songs, prayer, and discussion of a bible passage or topic. Additionally, there are several prayer groups which meet at different times during the week, a GCF weekly lunch on Monday, community service outings, and potlucks.
