About GCF
Statement of Faith
GCF affirms the IV Statement of Faith, which is:
We believe in:
- The unique divine inspiration, entire trustworthiness and authority of the Bible.
- The deity of our Lord Jesus Christ.
- The necessity and efficacy of the substitutionary death of Jesus Christ for the redemption of the world, and the historic fact of his bodily resurrection.
- The presence and power of the Holy Spirit in the work of regeneration.
- The expectation of the personal return of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Mission Statement

- Encourage sharing God's word (Mat 28:19)
- Being receptive to new members and visitors, and helping them to integrate into our community
- Provide Christian resources to our community, and direct people to other resources
- Visibility as Christian academics: to the UCLA community, to the Church, and to the world (1 Peter 3:15)
- Within our community
- Facilitating Spiritual Growth (Eph 4:14)
- Growth within the community
- Seek out the truth of God's Word, which works in us to change us into the image of Christ (Deut 8:3, Psalm 119)
- Encourage and define integration of faith, learning, and life
- Discover, develop, and use gifts and calling
- Provide accountability to foster continuous development
- Growth of the community
- Building a spiritual community over extended time (Col 3:12-16)

- Growth within the community
Activities
Large Group Meetings
Large group meetings are held on Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. We typically have about 20 people. We begin with several worship songs, and then move into the discussion topic for the week. We then break up into smaller groups for prayer if there is time.
After the meeting is over, many of us typically walk down to one of the local restaurants or coffee shops in Westwood for more food and fellowship :)
Prayer Meetings
We have several prayer meetings that meet on a weekly basis. Please feel free to contact us for more details:
- Every Thursday, a group meets at 5:45 PM behind Powell library for a time of prayer about our upcoming discussion meeting.
- A men's group meets on a weekly basis for prayer and accountability.
- A women's group also meets on a weekly basis for prayer and accountability.
Other Bible Studies
In the past, GCF members have conducted other bible studies, but nobody is doing one right now. If you are interested in starting one, please let us know.
