LGSN at the University of California, Los Angeles
The Lambda Graduate Student Network (LGSN) is a community of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) graduate students, faculty, staff, and alumni at the University of California, Los Angeles. UCLA has a vast array of graduate programs, each hosting students and faculty with unique and diverse experiences and backgrounds. LGSN brings these individuals together, provides a forum for interaction, and fosters a sense of LGBT community.
LGSN is part of the LGBT leadership council at UCLA. Through this council we work closely with other graduate LGBT organizations (such as Section G, and OUTLaw), undergraduate organizations (such as Queer Alliance), religion-affliated groups (such as Mishpacha and Cornerstone), and politically active groups (such as WonTogether and Student Coallision for Marriage Equality).
Additionally, LGSN and the LGBT community at UCLA work with other local universities such as USC and CalTech in an attempt to foster a larger sense of LGBT community within Los Angeles.
