Mortar Board, Inc. is a national honor society that recognizes college seniors for their achievements in scholarship, leadership and service, provides opportunities for continued leadership development, promotes service to colleges and universities and encourages lifelong contributions to the global community.
The Agathai Chapter of Mortar Board Inc., was founded in 1939 at University of California, Los Angeles. Since then our Chapter has become the premier senior honor society at the university. Every year we invite the top students in each Senior class to apply for membership. Students are chosen because they have demonstrated excellence in academics, leadership, and community service. As individual members, we desire to share our unique talents and abilities to help strengthen our campus chapter to ensure a viable future through our active participation. We seek to make Mortar Board a well-known campus organization that students respect, promoting a positive reputation for our campus and ourselves through our continued involvement with Mortar Board.
