We are an honors society dedicated to recognizing outstanding achievement among first and second year college students and encouraging members to develop leadership skills through community service. NSCS has active chapters on over 170 college and university campuses across the United States.
You must have a GPA of 3.4 to qualify for an invitation or self-nomination; this rule also applies to transfer students.
Friends and non-members are welcome to participate in all of our events; however, benefits are only available to NSCS members. NSCS member benefits include scholarship, study abroad programs, community services, leadership development, offers & discounts, health insurance, and career connections.
About Us
The National Society of Collegiate Scholars was established on the principle that with scholarship comes a responsibility to obtain leadership and a duty to perform service. To this end, the Society:
* Recognizes and celebrates high achievement
among first- and second-year college
students in all academic disciplines.
* Encourages and promotes high standards
throughout the collegiate experience.
* Provides opportunities for personal
growth and leadership development.
* Organizes and encourages community service.
* Fosters an overall appreciation for the
value of higher education.
