Pie board 06 07 updates
Added on Monday, May 22th, 2006 at 10:50amHi everyone,
Hope Week 8 is treating you well. Updates for this week:
1) Outreaching for week 8 Meeting: We're planning on having alumni for 8th week to talk about their experiences after graduation. This meeting is great for those who don't know what to do with their major after graduation, and I highly encourage you guys to come, and even bring a friend if you can.
2) After the meeting, Phil suggested to have the New board/old board dinner. Let me know if you guys can make it.
3) Fixed and error on the board roster, and added pages for general members and associates (basically, other org's officers as well as the advisory board, and other important people). I think i may start up a yahoo group to make group emails easier and so we dont' have to resend the roster when its updated.
4) Friday, 6-something PM @ Moore 100 is Samahang Talent Show. Definitely come to support your fellow engineers & PIE members! (Dawn's got some singing, Gabby is doing some guitar work with some of my roommates [the more musically talented ones :P], and I'll be up with my typical yoyo shenanigans)
5)No one has responded to me about 1 on 1's, so i'll start hunting everyone down for availabilities.
That being said, if everyone has any comments, announcements, what not, feel free to reply all. Take it easy, everyone!

PIE BOARD 2006-2007
Added on Wednesday, May 17th, 2006 at 9:26pmHi Everyone,
First of all, congrats on being elected on PIE board... some of the elections were really close :PAnyway, here is the roster for everyone's enjoyment. and some Things that are upcoming:
1) Phil wants to have a New board/Old board Dinner (this will be separate from the end of the year banquet). He said anytime from 8th week to 10th week is good; something a little casual for us. Please respond to me with suggestion of places and good times.
2) Phil also wants to have some sort of transitional meeting with new board, so we can get accustomed to our new positions. I'm not sure on how it will be formatted (1 on 1's, or if we have a big group meeting), but I will try to keep you posted on what's going on.
3) 1 on 1 with me: Like I said, I want to have 1 on 1 meetings to get an idea of everyone's expectations(of PIE, their office, etc). If you guys want to meet before school lets out, just get in touch with me and we can work something out. I definitely want to meet with everyone before our Retreat.
4) The Fall Retreat! So the retreat will mostly be about planning fall quarter, but we will also look into some fun stuff, like learning the history of PIE, and other fun things. This is most likely going to be either Week 0 or Week -1 (the week before move-in), so keep those days open if you can. If anyone won't be back in time or if there is other concerns, let me know.
That said, I look foward to working with you all, and I can't wait for next year to get started!
-Jay
