The Pre-Law Society offers its members and the community a diverse set of opportunities and resources. Not only do we have a large and varied library of law school and LSAT prep books available for free to our members, but we also host the Annual Law Forum and publish the yearly Undergraduate Law Journal, both of which are open to UCLA students and the community. Additionally, Pre-Law Society awards several scholarships every year to outstanding members, and we have an extensive database of outside resources for other scholarships, internships and job opportunities.
On November 5, 2009, we will be hosting the Annual Law Forum at Ackerman Grand Ballroom on the UCLA campus. Over 60 law schools are expected to attend, and this will surely be a valuable experience for any student interested in attending law school in the future.
The Undergraduate Law Journal features several essays written by both UCLA students and non-UCLA students. These essays cover topics in law, philosophy, policy and current events. An attractive perk for writing for the Journal is that it is distributed to over 50 law schools around the nation!
At the end of the academic year, Pre-Law Society offers an Outstanding Student Scholarship and several test preparation scholarships (when available). Please visit this section for more information about these awards and other opportunities offered by external organizations, including additional scholarships and internship availabilities.
Our library of law school admissions and test prepration books is located in our office in Bunche Hall. Members can check out any materials they wish. These books are only available to members.
