The Political Science Student Organization (PSSO) was founded in order to enhance the student experience at UCLA. By working closely with the Political Science Department, PSSO has a unique and valuable role on campus in ensuring that students in the campus community can get the most out of their experience here at UCLA.
Welcome to UCLA. We hope to see a lot of you in the coming year.
We have exciting times ahead of us. Each week PSSO will bring students together with faculty and advisors or academic, professional or political representatives. These meetings will provide opportunities for participants to develop closer relationships with the faculty and staff. Students will gain insight into the career possibilities available with organizations like the FBI, Rand corporation and the State Department. In addition, we have representatives from Amnesty International, the Peace Corps, and ACLU who will talk about their respective programs. We also hold Law School and Grad School workshops as well as publish a quarterly magazine which includes articles, papers and editorials by students, and of course our main event of the year, the Political Science Commencement ceremony. Beacuse the scope and depth of PSSO is so large, we welcome new members and have plenty of opportunities to participate at all levels of the organization from the casual attendee to the leader. We are a great way to meet new people, make new friends and GET INVOLVED!
Our office is 4272 Bunche Hall.
