Parking at UCLA

UCLA Transportation and Parking
Parking at street meters and in UCLA parking garages equipped with meters is $2 per hour. After 9 pm, parking is free, except in lot 6. If you don't want any hassle, you can go to the UCLA parking kiosks and pay $8 for the entire night for parking in a garage. It is recommended that visitors unfamiliar with parking at UCLA ask for assistance at one of the information booths when entering the UCLA campus, since information presented here may have change.
If you don't mind walking a little, one place to find free street parking is on Gayley Ave. and in adjoining streets. You could start at Gayley Ave. and Strathmore, and then proceed north or south along Gayley or west along Strathmore. This is the student housing area, and on weekends it may be both crowded and a tad rowdy.
Alternatively, free parking is available in the upscale residential neighborhood east of UCLA (such as along Warner Ave. or Woodruff Ave). Parking is free after 6 pm and all day on Saturdays and Sundays. Make sure you park in an area where parking is permitted according to street signs. Also, make sure you have a map and familiarize yourself with the streets so you don't get lost in the dark!
