National Mission Statement:
Tau Beta Sigma is a National Honorary Band Sorority that provides service to collegiate
bands, encourages the advancement of women in the band profession, and promotes
and enriches an appreciation of band music through recognition, leadership
development and education of its members.
Western District Mission Statement: United by music, the Western District joint organizations of Kappa
Kappa Psi and Tau Beta Sigma are committed to enthusiastic service to the college and university bands,
through establishing the standards of excellence for the nation in education, leadership, expansion,
loyalty, and cooperation.
