How To Join UCLA Triathlon

Our training for the 2011-2012 season is underway. We are always actively seeking new team members to join us. Prospective members are able to try out the team for a week. New members are able to join our Google Group, the way we communicate as an organization. When trying out, workout times and locations are on our calendar. E-mail your questions to triteam@ucla.edu or speak to a team officer at practice.

Forms and Dues

The Joining Process:


Membership in the UCLA Triathlon Team is yearly, following the academic quarter system, Fall through Summer. All memberships expire at the end of the summer quarter. Quarterly rates are also available if you plan to be active 2 or fewer quarters peryear. Contact triteam@ucla.edu for details. Dues will be paid online.

  1. Both new and returning members must fill out this form to join the team.
  2. Sign in to the UCLA Recreation site here. Your default username and password are both your UCLA student ID number. If you cannot access your account, you must email techsupport@recreation.ucla.edu to have it reset. Include your name and student ID number in the email.
  3. After logging in, navigate to: Browse Courses > W2012 > Club Sports > Club Triathlon. Everyone must register for Club Triathlon - (1), which is a $18 club sports waiver fee before attending any workouts. This fee pays for new programs that the UCLA Recreation department runs each year. Also register for either Club Triathlon Recreeation Tire, Club Triathlon Performacne Tier, Club Triathlon Alumni Tier, or Club Triathlon Community Member.
  4. Alternatively, you may pay your dues via check made out to "UC REGENTS," or cash in a sealed envelope, given to membership director Hai Phan at a team workout. The $18 waiver can be processed at the Sales and Cashiering Office located in the John Wooden Center (JWC) (SE corner, 1st floor).
  5. After paying the club sports waiver fee and your team dues, go to the Competitive Sports Clubhouse (JWC, NW corner, 2nd floor) to pick up your free UCLA-gift. If you paid the club sports waiver fee at sales and casheering, you must bring your receipt. For online payments, your student ID number is sufficient.

$200 for ULCA students

$400 for other members of our UCLA community

Go to our Google Groups Page and apply for membership. After you have paid your dues, we will approve your request and you will have access to all team information.
