Heartsaver Training Courses

Heartsaver CPR/AED

Course Description
The Heartsaver AED Course teaches the basic techniques of adult and child CPR and how to give first aid for choking. Students also learn how to use an AED, which has become more important since AEDs are now found in the majority of large public places, and they have been proven to be much more effective than CPR alone. We recommend this course to those who work in large public places, and to those who work with or spend much time with adults and the elderly.

Course Length: 3 hours

Intended Audience
Responders such as police, airline personnel, security personnel, corporate employees, family members of patients at high risk for sudden cardiac death, other rescuers, and those who need or want to learn CPR and how to operate an AED.

Card Type: Heartsaver Certification in Adult/Child CPR and AED

Written/Skills Exam: Skills exam required for completion card; no written examination.
