Gluophage
Generic Name: Metformin
Uses: An oral diabetes
medicine that helps control blood sugar levels. For people with type 2
diabetes and it is sometimes used in combination with insulin or other
medications.
The signs of hypoglycemia include
hunger, headache, confusion, dizziness, sweating, fast heartbeat, and
fainting.
Risks: Some individuals
experience lactic acidosis, symptoms include weakness, increasing
sleepiness, slow heart rate, muscle pain, and shortness of breath. Do
not use glucophage if you have kidney disease or kidney failure or you
are in a state of diabetic ketoacidosis.
