Uses: helps to stop or reduce coughing due to the common cold or inhaled irritants.

Mechanism: anticholinergic and narcotic cough suppressant combination. The anticholinergic works by drying up secretions and the narcotic depresses the cough reflex in the brain.

Possible Drug Interactions: alcohol, chloroquine, some pain medications, medications for psychosis, sleep, anxiety or depression, some antihistamines
