UKS Traditional Dance

UKS Traditional is a dance troupe made entirely of students who are self taught and for the most part, have no prior dance experience.  Having started over four years ago, our original goals were to bring awareness to the UCLA community of the richness of Cambodian culture, to preserve and show an appreciation for traditional Cambodian dance, and lastly, to encourage Cambodian students to artistically and creatively express themselves through dance.  UKS Traditional mainly focus on traditional folk dance, but this year we are pleased to announce that a classical piece will be added to UKS Traditional's repertoire.  This undoubtedly symbolizes our growth and success in these past four years.

While we do perform at many different events throughout the year, our biggest performance takes place during UKS' annual culture show.  If you are interested in seeing UKS Traditional perform, please come out to the show.
