Below are the site dates for Spring Quarter. Remember, all sites are on Saturdays from 9 am to 12 pm at Temple Intermediate School in Rosemead, CA.
Project W.I.L.D is partnering with Helping Janet to find bone marrow matches for leukemia patients, including Janet Liang, who was Project W.I.L.D's own Recruitment and Publications Director in 2008-09. Please consider joining the bone marrow registry if you haven't. All it takes is a cheek swab to find a match. It may very well save someone's life. For more information on how you can help, visit HelpingJanet.com and National Marrow Donor Program.
Because of a new requirement by the SREC (Student Risk Education Committee), all tutors MUST have live scans (background checks) done before working with tutees. Please check your email to learn more about the process and on-campus live scan appointments.
This quarter, tutors will be able to officially log their community service hours through CSR (Community Service Record) on MyUCLA. Be sure to ask one of the directors for more information or look for us on your MyUCLA page.
Be sure to add Project WILD on Facebook so you can receive important updates about site and fundraisers throughout the year! Also, join Orgsync and add Project WILD to your organizations if you haven't done so.
